2019-Z-0023 - Terrestrial and Aquatic Services

The Service Provider will be responsible for conducting inventory and assessment work of terrestrial and aquatic habitat conditions in accordance with Ministry policies (e.g. Environmental Reference for Highway Design, Environmental Guide for Fish and Fish Habitat, etc.). The Service Provider will be responsible for pre, during and post-construction monitoring of various MTO projects within Central Region. Consultants will also be required to develop and implement terrestrial and aquatic habitat mitigation, enhancement and compensation/offsetting/overall benefit measures. The Consultants will also be required to obtain Species at Risk clearances (e.g. permits, registrations, letters of advice), and carry out Species at Risk monitoring and reporting under the federal Species at Risk Act (SARA) and the provincial Endangered Species Act (ESA).  They may also be required to review and provide input into Ministry’s Environmental policy.
