Project # 2024-E-0012 - Detailed Design and Contract Package Preparation for pavement rehabilitation of the Fort Erie bound QEW from 1.5 km east of Casablanca Blvd. IC to 0.3 km east of Victoria Ave (approximately 15.5km) including QEW main lanes, auxiliary lanes, shoulders, side roads, and interchange ramps within ministry right of way. The assignment also includes pavement rehabilitation of the QEW Toronto Bound off and on ramps at Victoria Ave interchange, the rehabilitation of one structural culvert at QEW west of Baker Road and the replacement of one non-structural culvert at Victoria Ave interchange – Toronto Bound off-ramp, detailed investigation and design of repair/rehabilitation of the six overhead sign structures (two in Fort Erie bound direction and four in Toronto Bound direction), replacement of the entire lighting system at the Grimsby interchange (~43 poles, luminaires, wiring/conduits, power supplies), and retrofit of luminaires at the Vineland Truck Inspection Station (~30 HPS luminaires to LED), and traffic signal upgrades at the Victoria Ave E-N Ramp (Toronto Bound offramp) Terminal (traffic signal upgrades design to be provided by others), and a noise study to verify the sound levels at the retrofit noise barrier site between Ontario Street and Maple Street on south side of the Grimsby Diamond interchange to determine if a noise wall is required.
